Your New Role
As a Branch Buyer based in Darwin, you will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal stock levels to support our independent grocers. You will be responsible for:
Managing the purchase process using daily Buyer Reports.
Placing Purchase Orders to align with Supplier delivery timelines.
Ensuring Supplier minimum buys for FIS terms and maintaining minimum stock levels to minimise out-of-stocks.
Coordinating with suppliers on new line release dates for timely stock availability.
Reporting all Supplier Issues and managing stock profit and CPI Investment Opportunities.
Controlling Shrinkage & Ullage and managing excess and discontinued lines.
Ensuring compliance with OH&S and HACCP regulations.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience with the Evolve system and a willingness to learn.
A background in wholesale/retail operations within the grocery/food service or liquor industry.
Knowledge of OH&S and HACCP regulations.
High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with attention to detail.
Intermediate-to-advanced skills in MS Excel.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
