Casual Hourly rate of $42 per hour

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour

The Role

Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person for a casual appointment as a Labourer Parks and Gardens, based at the Bowen depot. The role will be responsible for carrying out labouring duties associated with construction, establishment and maintenance of Parks and Gardens infrastructure in the Whitsunday region.

Essential

• C Class “Manual” Drivers Licence
• Construction Safety Induction (White card)

Desirable

• Certificate II or III in Horticulture
• Traffic Management Implementation
• Certificate II in Chainsaw Operations
• Commercial Operator’s Licence for the application of herbicides
• Certificate in Working at Heights
• Certificate in Elevated Work Platforms
• MR Licence
