We are seeking holders of a valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence with flexible availability to join our Waste Services Team in a casual position.
YOUR ROLE
Is to operate Council’s garbage trucks to undertake waste collection services in accordance with operational procedures ensuring that the vehicle is driven and operated in a safe and competent manner within all road traffic laws and regulations.
ABOUT YOU:
We are ideally looking for applicants who have the following:
• Recent experience with the operation of a heavy rigid vehicle.
• A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers’ licence.
• Flexible availability across the week, including early starts and working on weekends and public holidays.
• Experience in truck driving with the ability to carry out general labouring duties.
• The ability to learn quickly on the job.
• The ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
• A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)
• Casual work.
• Flexible shifts over a seven-day work week.
• All Uniforms & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplied.
• Salary Range $37.27 per hour - $40.25 per hour includes 25% Casual Loading.
• An additional 50% loading applies to work performed on a Saturday.
• An additional 100% loading applies to work performed on a Sunday.
• Adverse Working Conditions Allowance applies.
