Building a better Bunbury

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Hand to be part of our Depot based stores and purchasing team. As an integral member within the team, you will provide effective stock control (receipt, issue and stocktaking), assist with ordering in line with the City's purchasing processes, maintain registers such as for small plant and chemicals and ensure the Sutherland Way and McCombe Road depots are kept in a clean and safe condition. Last but not least, you will provide prompt and efficient customer service for all internal and external queries.

You will have well developed written, oral and numeracy skills, the ability to work collaboratively and safely in a team environment and be able to respond to personnel with differing needs. You will also have pride in providing a service focusing on attention to detail. Computer based skills are also essential, but we will train you in our systems.

In addition, you will ideally have the following:

• Knowledge of stores and yard operations
• Class C drivers licence
• Forklift operator certification, or the ability to obtain
• Front end loader certification, or the ability to obtain
• White Card
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance (under 12 months)

• Full-time permanent position (after completing a minimum 3-month probationary period)
• 4 week's annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
• Option to salary sacrifice additional Superannuation (contribute up to 5% of your salary and the City will match your contribution up to an additional 5%)
