The Opportunity

The Ganger is responsible for providing a high level of support to the Parks

and Recreation Supervisor in undertaking a leading role whilst performing

construction and maintenance tasks.

This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary

as directed by Council. The key ones include: Supervise Parks and Open Space gang and contribute positively to

work undertaken by the gang;

 Carry out construction and maintenance of infrastructure and parks

assets;

 Mentor and motivate other staff within the gang;

 Operate plant items as required;

About Yourself

Suitability for this position will be based on experience, application,

achievement, and potential in the following critical competencies as they link

to the key responsibilities for this position.

Proven/Demonstrated experience in:

 Maintenance and construction of park and infrastructure assets;

 Supervision of amenity horticulture and park projects; and

 Ability to undertake a wide range of tasks in connection with parks and

garden operations.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading

You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while
