The Senior Finance Manager oversees and proactively manages transactional finance activities through a small team for four company entities, while also performing financial accounting work involving the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. Additionally, the role is responsible for ledger activities, preparation of journal entries, fixed asset accounting, financial statements, cost accounting, bank reconciliations, statutory returns, and payroll oversight across three entities (AU, NZ, and USA).

Hourly Rate - $70-80, dependent on experience
Your new role
- Manages transactional finance activities across four entities (AU, NZ, USA, HK) ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Prepares month-end and year-end reports, including cost reports, stock and accruals, trial balances, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Manages monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheets.
- Supports the Finance Director in preparing weekly cashflow forecasts.
- Provides guidelines for standard cost approaches, monitors cost-reduction programs, and contributes to financial policy development.
- Identifies and mitigates financial risks, and initiates financial process improvements.
- Assists with the annual budget process, managing the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensures the ERP (SAP) system functions correctly, including trial balance, GL coding, and report maintenance.
- Oversees payroll functions via outsourced providers, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accurate processing.
- Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and manages the annual audit process.
What you'll need to succeed
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Degree qualified with over 7 years of finance and accounting experience, including more than 3 years in a managerial role.
- High proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of SQL for writing queries.
- Experience in a wholesale environment, both domestically and internationally.
- Systems knowledge, including maintenance of SAP, and familiarity with Concur, Phocas BI, and Shopify.
