Your new role
As a Systems Test Engineer, you'll apply your technical expertise to tackle complex challenges, developing and executing test strategies for integrated systems that span cloud, firmware, hardware, and software components.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively within an Agile Scrum team to drive project success.
- Apply best practices in test engineering to enhance the team's workflow.
- Assess system testing requirements and develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test solutions.
- Support issue resolution by identifying critical problems, assisting in root cause analysis, and delivering effective solutions.
- Design and maintain automated tests within the existing automation framework to improve efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement by refining testing practices and methodologies.
- Engage with cross-functional engineering teams, including digital design, RF engineering, software, and network management.
- Undertake additional system testing tasks as needed to support project objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential requirements: - Solid commercial experience as a systems tester.
- Knowledge of good software development and testing practices.
- Strong skills in diagnosing problems, troubleshooting and reporting relevant data.
- Good development/scripting skills in common languages like Python, MS SQL, C++
- Strong understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers
- Experience in Agile Scrum, proven ability to contribute to team work.
- Linux and Android experience.
Desirable requirements:- At least 5+ years’ experience with software development, testing and validation
- Source Control and Issue Tracking tools (for example GIT, JIRA).
- Experience with test automation scripts and frameworks.
- Understanding of digital electronics and wireless technologies.
- ISTQB and/or Agile Testing (ICP-TST) certification
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Experience with communication protocols (RS232/485, CAN Bus, TCP/IP) and wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
