We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Lighting & Systems Technician to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As the Head of Lighting and Systems Technician, you will be the go-to expert for all lighting and systems operations at Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Munro Martin Parklands, and other Cultural Services venues. You will work closely with clients, artists, and our technical team to deliver seamless, safe, and spectacular events — from theatre productions and concerts to community events and installations.
What We Are Looking For:
Certificate III in live Production and Services (or ability to obtain).
Certificate IV in live Production and Technical Services (or ability to obtain).
A minimum of five years’ experience working at a multi stage arts centre or for a production or theatre company.
A high level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in lighting and lighting systems.
A high level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in staging and mechanics.
Operational competency in technical theatre, including, audio and audio visual systems.
A sound understanding of production requirements of the performing arts and entertainment industry and a demonstrated flair for creative production designs in lighting.
Knowledge of and Experience in using ETC EOS, MA grand and Hog lighting systems.
