Your new role
- Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job advertisements, candidate screening, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. Manage the workplace immigration project liaising with external stakeholders and submitting and managing immigration documentation. Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new employees are integrated effectively into the team.
- Policy Review and Development: Regularly review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
- Maintain Accurate and Compliant Employee Records: Ensure all employee documentation, such as onboarding, performance, incident reports, training and offboarding, is accurate, up-to-date, and stored securely.
- Employee Relations and Performance Management: Actively contribute to fostering a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, managing performance, handling of workplace grievances, investigations, conflict resolution and implementing employee engagement initiatives. Provide advice and support to managers and staff on best practices in employee relations and engagement.
- Payroll and HR Systems: Actively contribute to the payroll team and ensure HR systems are optimised for efficiency and compliance.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Safety Audits: Identify and assess potential hazards in the workplace through regular risk assessments and safety audits. Develop and implement corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate these risks.
- Workers Compensation: Manage the Workers Compensation claims including reporting, attending medical appointments, return to work and case reviews ensuring regular contact is maintained with the injured worker, the area managers and our insurer.
- HR and Safety Compliance: Stay informed on all current and relevant workplace safety laws, regulations, and labour laws to ensure the business remains compliant. This includes implementing proactive strategies for monitoring compliance and addressing potential gaps in procedures or documentation.
