Our client is looking for an experienced HR Officer to join their team on a 3-month short-term temporary contract with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Provides timely and accurate advice on HR matters, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and agreements.
Review recruitment and classification requests, supporting the development and evaluation of new or revised roles.
Manage HR processes and records using systems such as PeopleSoft, ensuring data integrity and administrative excellence.
Contribute to the development and refinement of HR policies, procedures, and process improvements through research and data analysis.
Support and lead HR projects and initiatives that enhance service delivery and staff experience.
Coordinate and facilitate cyclical HR programs including performance reviews, promotions, probation, and onboarding.
Collaborate with internal teams including Payroll and broader P&C to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
Possession of a degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Demonstrated understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and industrial instruments.
Experience preparing HR documentation such as employment contracts and supporting the development or review of HR policies and procedures, with a strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide high-quality customer service and build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, use initiative, and resolve problems independently or as part of a team.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), with a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing systems and processes.
