Hays are currently working with a well-established and growing law firm in West Perth, who are looking for their next Legal Secretary to join the team.

This is a full-time, in-office role, offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative and professional environment. This role is paying up to $85K + Superannuation depending on experience.

Your new role

As the Legal Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting the firm’s lawyers and office operations. You will be responsible for a range of administrative and legal support duties, ensuring the firm’s processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Managing file systems, including opening new files and electronic filing.
• Assisting with billing processes and archiving documentation.
• Preparing and formatting legal correspondence and engagement letters.
• Handling court document preparation, maintaining briefs, and online lodgements.
• Managing the office calendar and coordinating client meetings.
• Supporting business development initiatives, including events coordination.
• Assisting the litigation team with administrative tasks.
• General administrative support as required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate prior experience as a Legal Secretary. You will also have the following skills and qualities:

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with FilePro and Canva would be advantageous.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a professional and friendly work environment.
