Management Accountant

Your new company

Our client, located in the Perth Eastern suburbs region, requires a Management Accountant for an initial 3-6 temporary period to start in the next 1-2 weeks.

There is a possibility that the position will extend beyond this initial period.

Your new role

This newly created Management Accountant position will report into both the Finance Manager and CFO, and is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties;

- Prepare monthly accounts and management reports
- Support divisional managers with cost analysis, KPI reviews, and corrective action planning
- Assist the Finance Manager with budget preparation, reporting, and other tasks
- Provide backup support for critical functions, including payroll
- Develop and maintain finance systems and procedures aligned with organisational needs
- Oversee P&L, budgeting, and forecasting for various business units
- Review and update policies and procedures to reflect operational requirements
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure financial compliance
- Provide meaningful financial insights to guide the organisation toward its goals

What you'll need to succeed

- Availability to commence this assignment in the next 1-2 weeks
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong skills in presenting complex financial data
- Practical experience in payroll management and award interpretation
- Familiarity with Power BI and the ability to develop insightful analyses
- A recognised full Management accounting qualification
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
- Full commitment to the estimated initial 3-6 months duration
