Your new role
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a dynamic and rewarding role in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about engineering, innovation, and continuous improvement — and who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Work closely with Project and Site Managers to identify and implement improvements in production quality, safety, and machinery uptime.
Design, prototype, and implement mechanical solutions to enhance plant performance.
Be a key player on the production floor — diagnosing issues, testing improvements, and ensuring machinery meets safety and performance standards.
Apply Lean principles and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
Liaise with suppliers and maintenance teams to ensure critical spare parts and support are always available.
Support capital projects and contribute to risk assessments and SOP development.
What you'll need to succeed
A hands-on mechanical engineer with 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Tertiary qualifications in engineering (mechanical preferred).
Strong communication and collaboration skills — able to work across teams and levels.
A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic setting.
Proficient in CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD), Microsoft Office, and ideally CMMS and ERP systems.
It is essential you hold PR or are an Australian Citizen.
