About the role
This role is responsible for leading the development and integration of work management systems, planning processes, and performance reporting to support the HSEC function in delivering on its strategic priorities. It plays a central role in enabling alignment, governance, and continuous improvement across Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) HSEC through strong coordination, leadership, and collaboration.
Reporting to Manager Performance, Improvement, Risk & Systems, you will;
Lead the Annual Planning Review (APR) process for Rio Tinto Iron Ore HSEC, ensuring alignment with divisional and strategic priorities
Develop and maintain integrated work and performance management systems linking to divisional plans and P6
Coordinate planning and prioritisation efforts to align HSEC activities with broader business deliverables
Embed SPS-aligned practices and integrated cadences into the HSEC Annual Plan to support RTIO’s Best Operator ambition
Conduct periodic maturity assessments and ensure continuous improvement using the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in work management systems based on stakeholder feedback
Support performance measurement through clear KPIs and comprehensive reporting against the HSEC Annual Plan
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical support to Operational Delivery teams to build capability and drive results
You will
