As a Progress Payments Officer, you’ll be responsible for processing payments to builders for construction loans, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing crucial support to customers and frontline teams. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role in a high-performing team that directly impacts customers' ability to build their homes.

Your new role

  • Process payments for construction loans while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
  • Review and assess construction documents, including contracts, land valuations, and completion dates
  • Collaborate with brokers, customers, mobile lenders, and branch representatives to facilitate payments
  • Manage cases through internal systems, advising customers when they can begin construction
  • Verify builder invoices, resolve payment discrepancies, and update customers on payment schedules
  • Handle a high-volume queue of approximately 1,000 cases daily, processing 10 payments and reviewing 20-30 documents
  • Conduct 5-8 outbound calls when needed to support customers

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with customers and frontline teams.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payment processing and document reviews.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • High concern for quality and standards, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Previous experience in banking or financial services, preferably in a call centre or payments role.
