About the role 

We are looking for a Specialist Heritage. In this role, you will deliver heritage programs – some activities include managing heritage projects, completing fieldwork, authorising approvals, and supporting all heritage related activities. You will also provide advice on heritage management within existing structures and processes.

Reporting to the Lead Engagement Delivery, you will 

  • Lead project management and contractor management. This includes negotiation of fieldwork, onboarding, and reporting 

  • Conduct fieldwork activities such as Archaeological & Ethnographic surveys, and leading community projects 

  • Support studies by providing technical heritage advice and input into the study designs 

  • Review and authorise low to moderate complexity approvals requests 

  • Provide technical heritage advice for operations management, and support approvals requests execution 

  • Prepare materials for consultations including site disturbance 

  • Develop reports and manage aviation C7 documents 

  • Report editing and upload of GIS information from all surveys into Heritage Information Management System (HIMS) 

  • Maintain relevant internal trackers and systems

  • Heritage awareness and understanding

  • Traditional Owner relationship building and stakeholder relationship management 

  • Cultural Heritage Management planning 

  • Managing sites of high cultural importance 

  • Fieldwork surveys 

  • Internal reportingexperience
