About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Communities. In this role, you will support and lead the wider Pilbara and regional communities to provide support on technical communities and social performance work. Here you will also inform the development of stakeholder engagement strategies, project and study plans and Pilbara and Regional Communities compliance activities.

Reporting to the Principal Advisor WA Communities, you will:

  • Support the delivery of HSEC initiatives, the 5-year CSP Strategy, Site CSP Asset Plans and the Pilbara and Regional Communities Annual Plan
  • Support HSEC asset level communications and reporting requirements, and represent Pilbara and Regional Communities at asset planning and leadership forums and meetings
  • Build strong relationships with local governments and community groups to identify needs and respond to issues / opportunities, in accordance with Partnership governance framework
  • Organise community events and festivals, including; management of contractors, logistics and internal and external communication
  • Deliver national initiatives within the local community (i.e. health initiatives)
  • Support Pilbara and Regional based social investment through the Community Giving program, including managing strategic long term partnerships
  • Apply findings from the Pilbara and Regional Communities knowledge base to develop consultation and engagement plans with key stakeholders, and identify opportunities for future strategic partnerships to support the Social Investment strategy
  • Respond to community and RTIO risks and issues (i.e., cyclones)
  • Respond to community complaints and grievances and manage in accordance with the RTIO operational-level grievance mechanism (OGM)
  • Represent Pilbara and Regional Communities at key community forums and key stakeholder engagements, in addition to supporting HSEC managers in their representation of Communities work to asset leadership teams
