Your new role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Operational Technology (OT) Support Technician to join our top-tier mining client. This role is critical in supporting and maintaining a wide range of site-based technologies that underpin their mining operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of our OT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for:
Fleet Management Systems (FMS)
Onboard Safety Systems (e.g., CAS, DSS)
Industrial Communications (LTE, WTS, DRS)
APAC, OpsNet, IORMGMT, and PCN networks
- Monitor and maintain the technology blueprint across the site
- Perform local logical configuration of OT equipment
- Act as SME for small technology projects
- Respond to and resolve priority incidents on-site
- Log and manage incidents, tasks, and problem tickets in ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Lead or support investigations (PRB, 5-Whys, ICAM, RCA)
- Provide technology support across all business functions
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated previous experience of the understanding of site processes and procedures in a FIFO role.
- Hands-on experience in supporting onsite industrial Communications systems such as LTE/WTS/DRS
- Strong commitment to the safety of themselves and others
- Ability and experience of executing logical maintenance activities with all respective teams
- Ability to clearly communicate to non-technical teams key details of proposed technology changes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- A multitasking team player who can also work in a stand-alone capacity.
