Our Client

We are currently recruiting for a federal government client that is looking for a Workforce Strategist for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Your New Role

This role is to support the implementation of initiatives in the Strategic Workforce Plan, developing workforce management strategies, collaborating with HR Business Partners, using data for workforce forecasts, and tracking the success of workforce initiatives.


Duties & responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic workforce plan implementation and reporting.
  • Research and develop leading workforce management strategies.
  • Work in partnership with HR Business Partners to deliver for executives.
  • Use data and workforce planning tools to develop workforce forecasts and models.
  • Track the success and progress of workforce management initiatives to mitigate workforce gaps; and
  • Share knowledge and cultivate best practice in strategic workforce planning.
  • Draft communication to stakeholders to inform of SWFP progress and results, including drafting, formatting briefs, talking points, minutes and supporting documents.
    • Support the work of the team by implementing agile methodologies and ensuring effective governance and project management practices.
  • Development of an agency employee experience framework
  • Redevelopment of the agency’s Employee Value Proposition
  • Development and execution of an organisational leadership and culture action plan
  • Development of a new 3-year people strategy
  • Work in partnership with HR Business Partners to deliver for executives.
  • Draft communication to stakeholders to inform of project progress and results, including drafting, formatting briefs, talking points, minutes and supporting documents.
  • Share knowledge and cultivate best practice
  • Support the work of the team by implementing agile methodologies and ensuring effective governance and project management practices.



What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Proven experience in workforce planning, talent management, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Proficiency in HR software and workforce analytics tools.



What they Offer

This role is paying between $94,711 - $109,518.
