Join our South Maintenance Team to ensure our public amenities and infrastructure are always looking great!
What You Will Do:
You will undertake cleaning and minor maintenance of toilets, buildings, parks infrastructure and other public use space infrastructure and equipment. Your everyday tasks will include:
Strive to achieve high productivity and quality of cleaning and maintenance functions allocated by supervisory staff.
Good communication with members of the public and with staff from other Council sections and departments as required.
Ensure assigned tasks are carried out in an environmentally sensitive manner.
Operate plant and vehicles in an efficient, courteous and safe manner.
Provide excellent customer service and to actively work to solve customer problems.
Ensure all corporate information is captured within Council's business systems adhering to Recordkeeping policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Who We Are Looking For:
Current Qld C class drivers’ licence to independently drive between business locations to meet operational needs.
Secondary education to Year 10 with good communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
Ability to operate mobile computing (tablet/phone) applications associated with the role.
Sound knowledge in the use of cleaning techniques for public space equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to follow work practices and schedules.
An understanding of and commitment to Workplace health and Safety, environmental responsibility, quality assurance and open communications.
