•    Permanent Full Time 
•    PPE and uniform provided.
•    A current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence is essential for this role

Your Role
•    Operate Council’s Garbage Truck 
•    Undertake waste collection services in accordance with operational procedures
•    Ensuring that the vehicle is driven and operated in a safe and competent manner
•    Abiding by all road traffic laws and regulations

Your Working Environment (for eligible employees)

•    A 38-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight
•    Includes weekend and public holiday work
•    All Uniforms & PPE supplied.
•    50% loading applies to work performed on a Saturday.
•    100% loading applies to work performed on a Sunday.
•    Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
•    Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years
•    4 weeks paid annual leave
•    Access to 3 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative where unused
•    Access to 2 health and wellbeing days (taken from sick leave entitlements)
•    Guaranteed salary increase of 3% in July 2025

Eligibility Requirements

•    Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen or hold a valid visa with permission to work. 
•    Complete an Identity check – supplying 100 points of identification for verification.
•    Be willing to complete an Integrity/Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
•    Be willing to complete a pre-employment medical and audiogram.
