Your new role
As a Senior Communication Advisor, you'll be the linchpin of their communication efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop a thorough understanding of NDP guidelines and apply these to governance checks of NDP communication materials.
- Use your excellent written communication and editing skills to ensure materials are factual, consistent, and suitable for the audience.
- Coordinate internal and external approvals of communication materials, including media statements, briefing notes, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Triage urgent requests and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Maintain content on the NDP SharePoint site.
- Provide communication, media, and issues management advice to district staff and the NDP Team.
- Support the Program Manager (Reporting and Communication) as required.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Strong written communication and editing skills.
- Experience in coordinating communication materials and managing media relations.
- Ability to manage urgent requests and competing deadlines.
- Proficiency in maintaining content on digital platforms like SharePoint.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and networking skills.
