As part of a significant project surge, we are seeking talented Software Engineers and/or Software Integration Engineers to support on a fixed-term contract ranging from 12–24 months. There are also possibilities for extensions.
Opportunity 1
Software Integration Engineers: 3 days on-site requirement in Geelong.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate, deploy, and maintain software elements of the Electronic Architecture across all programs.
- Integrate software components using AS GVA and AS LDM standards.
- Support C4I capability throughout the systems engineering lifecycle from concept to design acceptance.
- Update and maintain engineering artifacts, including test plans and trial instructions.
- Act as an owner of software deliverables, reporting on progress, risks, and priorities.
- Perform other software-related duties as required.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- NV1 Clearance - active or dormant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science with relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in the full software integration cycle, preferably in Land C4I: software and system integration, deployment, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience in integrating software on both Windows and Linux, including system hardening.
- Desirable: Experience with systems requiring strong security, safety, and human factor engineering.
Opportunity 2Software Engineer, Melbourne CBD with some travel as required to Geelong.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain software elements of the Electronic Architecture (EA) across all programs.
- Implement AS GVA and AS LDM software aspects.
- Lead software safety implementation and support the system safety team.
- Support C4I capability throughout the systems engineering lifecycle from concept to design acceptance.
- Update and maintain engineering artifacts, including test plans and trial instructions.
- Manage and schedule technical activities and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Act as the owner of software deliverables, reporting on progress, risks, and priorities.
- Perform other software-related duties as required.
Experience:
- Proficient in the full software cycle, preferably in Land C4I: writing software requirements, coding, CSCI/unit tests, and supporting software/system integration.
- Experience with AS GVA and AS LDM Software aspects.
- Proficient in TDD (Test-Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
- Desirable: Experience with GitLab, developing software on both Windows and Linux, and systems with strong security, safety, and human factors engineering requirements.
