Full Time – Fixed Term 3 Year Contract
Base Salary - $120,000 to $130,000 per annum

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists within our Capital Program and Network Planning Directorate for a Capital Program Project Manager. As the Capital Program Project Manager you will manage the planning, design, execution, handover and closure of allocated Capital Projects within the defined and
approved 3-year Capital Program of projects.

Essential

• C Class Drivers Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• At least 7 years’ relevant project management experience in the construction industry
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience with contract management

Desirable

• Tertiary or Certificate Qualification in Project Management discipline
• Tertiary or Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering discipline
• Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (or agreeable to obtain this certification)
• Experience in managing and reporting on Capital Works programs
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in Local Government or Government body
