The MacDonnell region is located in the centre of Australia. Covering 270,000sq km and with an estimated population approaching 7,000, it has a unique beauty with picturesque water holes, magnificent flora and fauna, red desert sands and rugged mountain ranges.
As the Coordinator Home Care, you will be responsible for the administration of MacDonnell Regional Council's aged, disability and school nutrition programs. You will work in collaboration with the Manager Home Care to plan and deliver funding applications, service objectives and program reporting functions. You will be required to prepare and collate reports and correspondence to various stakeholders regularly. You will also act as a point of contact for general inquiries. This position is based in Hermannsburg and will require frequent travel between nominated communities.
Our successful candidate will ideally hold a Diploma qualification in Aged care or community services and experience in operations and quality standards within the Aged and Disability Sector. Demonstrated experience working in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment together with solid administrative skills are required.
