Your new company

Are you an immediately available Accounts Receivable officer and looking for a new 6-month contract? Our State Government client based in the Perth CBD is seeking an experienced professional to join their team. This role requires an immediate start and has the potential to be extended for a further 6-months.

Your new role

• Performs daily financial accounting tasks within the Financial Operations team, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate card transactions, and debt recovery processes.
• Provides support for corporate card administration, including processing applications for new cards, cancellations, and adjustments to credit limits.
• Assists internal stakeholders with enquiries related to payables and corporate card reconciliations.
• Supports the execution of payment runs, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
• Coordinates with internal staff to follow up on outstanding debts in line with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains the write-off register and processes debtor write-offs in the Financial Management Information System, in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Prepares monthly aged debtor and creditor analysis reports, recommending appropriate actions based on policy.
• Assists in preparing documentation for legal debt recovery actions in collaboration with external debt collection agencies.

• Demonstrated experience in a previous similar role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Efficient and effective communication skills.
• You must be ready to start immediately.
• An acceptable National Police Certificate is required.
