Commercial Manager

Your new role

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Manager for a 12-month labour hire assignment with a respected organisation involved in complex supply chain and commercial operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee existing contractual arrangements, forge new partnerships, and drive value through effective commercial strategy.

• Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial contracts, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and clarity.
• Leading complex contract negotiations with stakeholders across industries such as logistics, shipping, stevedoring, and freight services.
• Designing and implementing performance reporting tools that support contract optimisation and service delivery.
• Developing customer-focused quality management systems and ensuring contractual capacity is fully leveraged.
• Shaping and executing strategies that elevate the customer experience and build long-term value.
• Monitoring KPI delivery and addressing performance trends across customer and partner relationships.
• Providing strategic commercial advice and contractual support across the broader business.

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or 6–8 years’ experience in a related field.

• Strong track record in managing senior stakeholders and building high-value relationships.

• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex commercial contracts and identifying new value opportunities.

• Solid experience working in a customer-centric, commercially focused environment.

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence with credibility.

• Sound commercial judgement and a deep understanding of supply chain and contract optimisation.

• Hands-on experience with contract development and management, including working knowledge of key contractual principles.

• Familiarity with project management and change methodologies to support business transformation.

• Excellent writing skills to develop clear commercial documentation and correspondence.
