Want to do something valuable for your community while being paid to learn? The NSW Government is providing funding so councils can hire more apprentices, trainees and cadets. Wingecarribee Shire Council is recruiting now for Apprentice Civil Construction Plant roles to start in early 2025. An apprenticeship, traineeship or cadetship with a council can be a great way to start a successful career.
The Role
The apprentice position is based within the Shire Presentation Branch and plays an important role in supporting the operations and maintenance of Wingecarribee Shire Council’s road and drainage network and associated assets to meet customer and environmental obligations. Under the guidance and mentoring of experienced staff, the apprenticeship role will be provided an opportunity to develop skills, experience and knowledge in operational activities, to satisfy the competencies as defined by the training plan. As part of the apprenticeship, the role will be required to attend training with a designated Registered Training Organisation.
