Kingborough Council is seeking an experienced leader to join the Executive team as the Director Engineering Services.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to Council’s Engineering Services Directorate.  The role oversees multiple business units and functions including professional engineers and operational staff,  and is required to provide expert advice on infrastructure planning, investment, and service delivery. The incumbent also serves as a Director of Kingborough Waste Services Pty Ltd (KWS), providing oversight of operational management, waste strategy implementation, and business performance.

The portfolio requires a results-driven, strong people leader with a proven commitment to business improvement.  Significant experience in a senior local government position and the capability to operate in a complex political environment would be well-regarded.

Further details:

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated, including the private use of a motor vehicle, 12.5% superannuation and a rostered day off each month.  The role is being offered on a full-time contract basis for a term of five years.
