As a backhoe operator within our Roads and Drains team, your primary responsibility will be focusing on operating a backhoe to perform roads and drains related maintenance. You may also have an opportunity to work interchangeably with other on-site equipment, including excavators and bobcats. This position is part of Council's operational maintenance team and will be primarily involved in road shoulder and drainage maintenance.

About you
Ideally you will bring a wealth of relevant experience and current or recent hands on experience operating backhoes in similar maintenance environments. Your background will demonstrate proficiency in handling a variety of medium sized plant items (backhoes, excavators and bobcats) typically used in civil construction and maintenance projects.
